About the event
Since this edition of Kahaaniya is part of Agatsu’s programming for World Mental Health Day, the theme for this edition is ‘Living amidst a mental illness’, aligning with the international theme for the year 2026 "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change".
Kahaaniya creates space for these stories to be shared, one person at a time.
Inspired by the Human Library model, Kahaaniya invites people to be a Panna. Each Panna shares a 10–12 minute lived experience with individual listeners. These are one-on-one sharings, without interruption. Just listening, witnessing.
To make the experience thoughtful and unhurried, each listener (you) receives a set of 3 tokens on arrival. Each token allows you to “borrow” a Panna for a 10–12 minute story.
After each sharing, there is a short pause before the next rotation begins. Over the course of the evening, listeners can move between 3 different Panne.
