About the event

Let's Talk - Addiction is an opportunity for us all to understand Addiction a little bit better.

We will get to hear from lived-experience what it is like to live with Addiction, followed by a Q&A session with Dr. Azhar Hakim, a physician and psychotherapist with 20+ years of experience.

There is a gap between what someone experiences, what our textbooks teach us and what the internet tells us. It is key that we bring people with lived-experience to the forefront of the conversation. While doing this, it is crucial to respect each one's story as one of many credible expereinces and sources of knowledge. The goal is not to glorify, victimize, generalize or weaponize but to understand.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Attending this event requires you to make an informed decision about your mental state of mind at this point in your life. Certain parts can be sensitive or triggering.
