How much of who we are is us, how much is social conditioning, and how much is inherited behaviour patterns?
We have heard the term Intergenerational Trauma with increasing frequency over the past few years. But how many of us actually know what it is? How to identify it within ourselves and others? And how to mitigate its effects, how to prevent its manifestations in our lives - social, professional, familial and personal?
Vivek Madan, theatre producer and curator asks these questions to Deepapriya V., Senior Consulting Psychologist at Amaha Health.
Joining them is actor of stage and screen, Dilnaz Irani, to add her perspective, brought to the fore by her engagement in Alice Birch's Anatomy of a Suicide, a theatre production by Aasakta that deals with the same theme in stark, yet soft ways.
