Power of Community in Healing & Arts

This panel brings together founders and facilitators of spaces rooted in arts and community healing to explore how collective creativity can become a site of care, resilience, and transformation. Through their journeys, the conversation will trace how these spaces began—what sparked them, what it takes to sustain them, and how they continue to evolve in response to the needs of the communities they hold.

The discussion will centre personal relationships with the arts: what art means in their own lives, how it shapes their understanding of healing, and the ways in which creative practices open up possibilities for connection, expression, and belonging. It will also engage with the responsibility of building and representing “safe” or “safer” spaces—what that truly entails, where it succeeds, and where it is continually in process.
