About the event

Making Zines with Zinedabaad Collective "Totally Un-Serious Manuals"

In this Zine-Making Workshop facilitated by Anjini, we’ll have fun transforming silly ideas into playful how-to zines :)

Everyone is welcome, regardless of artistic background.

Zinedabaad Collective is a zine-making collective, run by Riya Behl and Devashree Somani.

They make zines, organise workshops and curate pop-up zine libraries, at the intersection of participatory arts, research and education. They believe in the spirit of the zine: a non-commercial, non-professional, small-circulation booklet, usually distributed by zinesters themselves and often traded within the zinester community.

Zines exist outside of mass consumer culture and are circulated by and within communities marginalised by traditional media or dominant social discourses. The word ‘zindabaad’ in Hindustani means ‘long live’ and Zinedabaad is committed to keeping the spirit of social impact alive through their innovative, arts-based, community-building efforts.
