Potluck Poetry with the Hank Nunn Institute (1)

Potluck Poetry is a community for poetry enthusiasts, facilitated by mental health professionals from Hank Nunn Institute. It is a space where participants come together to share and listen to poems surrounding a particular theme. The space was created in an attempt to facilitate open dialogue about mental health with the help of poetry.

The group is open to everyone and free of cost. It is not compulsory to bring a poem, you are welcome to join in to listen. We invite poetry in all languages. However, since the group runs in English, we encourage you to share a short translation with other members if possible!

Each session is focused around a particular theme.

This time the theme will be 'Food.'  We come together to share and listen to poems that remind us of the idea and let the discussion flow organically from there!

*Original works of poetry are welcome. 

However, keep in mind this is not a space for writers to receive feedback on their writing/performance. 

We will be focusing on emotions and ideas that the poems generate.

Structure -

Time duration - 90 mins 

Check in - It's a feelings check, to know where everyone is feeling wise, along with a small introduction (name, what you think about the theme)

Sharing of poems and discussion

Check out - again a feeling check to know how everyone is doing at the end of the event.
